The Pendleton County Circuit Clerk's primary function is to establish, maintain, and keep county records of the circuit court. In addition to court related duties, the Clerk is responsible for a number of administrative, financial, and public service duties:
» Filing new cases, including civil, juvenile,
divorce, domestic relations, felonies, etc.
» Schedule court hearings for the circuit court
» Issue summons and subpoenas when needed
» Subpoena jurors for trials
» Prepare passport applications
The Circuit Clerk's office provides information and services about how to obtain, replace, or change a passport. A passport is an internationally recognized travel document which verifies the identity and nationality of the bearer. A valid U.S. passport is required to enter and leave most foreign countries.
To obtain a passport application for the first time, you will need to present two photographs of yourself, proof of U.S. citizenship, your original birth certificate, and a valid form of photo identification such as a driver's license to the circuit clerk's office.
Passport service fees are established by law and regulation and are collected at the time you apply for the passport service. Please call the office for a schedule of fees. Checks are made payable to the Pendleton County Circuit Clerk.
